The 2009-2010 Canadian Community Health Survey (CCHS) data is now on Community Accounts.

There are four standard CCHS tables that are available including Health Status of Individuals, Emotional Status, Health Practices and Preventative Behaviours. We also have 2009-10 for the Sexual Behaviours table that was last shown for the 2005 CCHS.

When viewing each table, please read through the notes at the bottom of the table especially the information on data suppression. It is important to take into consideration the E notes in the tables that are attached to values with high sampling variability.

The headline indicators that come from the CCHS have also been updated in the Indicators and Well-Being area to include the 2009-2010 data. CCHS headline indicators can be found under Health, Employment and Working Conditions and Community Safety and Social Vitality.

<![CDATA[A New Look for the Well-Being Indicator Page and New Indicators Added]]> http://nl.communityaccounts.ca/communityaccounts/onlinedata/releases.asp#release243 Releases Tue, 22 Nov 2011 00:00:00 GMT http://nl.communityaccounts.ca/communityaccounts/onlinedata/releases.asp#release243 Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4

Well-Being indicators are now divided into two categories, objective and subjective indicators.

All subjective indicators come from the Canadian Community Health Survey (CCHS) tables and include confidence intervals. Due to substantial community and local area data suppression, offsets have been used to represent geographies with suppressed data for the CCHS indicators.

Three new indicators have been added in the subjective indicator section including: Percentage of Population with a Very Strong or Somewhat Strong Sense of Belonging to a Community, age 12+; Satisfaction with Life in General, Very Satisfied or Satisfied, age 12+; and Percentage of Population with Life Stress as Extremely or Quite a Bit, age 15+.

Please be aware of the yellow box notes that appear in the ranks tables, charts and maps for these indicators.
